Ok, so if you check the pink bike thread 4x racer callout it's about an indoor 4x race series at a BMX track in Washington. They had a good turn out last year and were able to make their final race a National Qualifier for the USA Jerseys. We could do the same thing at the Sand Box Track. I spoke with the board members of IBMX they said go for it. We could use the track on Saturdays. ABA membership required. Four-man gates, 26 inch tires only, age divisions, and class divisions. I think it could get really competitive within the classes.
Give me feedback and we'll set it up.

thats what I was talking about.  All you had to do was tell those guys we would all sign up and they were sold on the idea.

Well I don't stand a chance in the race but I will be there to F-stuff up.  Haroboy we go....

The membership for the ABA is $45.00 I believe. I am thinking with a four race series to start with each race will be ten dollars. Five of that ten goes to sandbox the other five goes to awards. One cool thing is that we can have a BBQ afterwards although there is a strict no alcoholic beverage policy. I would also say that Enright, Rich, and a couple other guys are there quite a bit. Hopefully I can pour the slab for the start gate next weekend.

Assuming NORBA rules it should be:

http://www.usacycling.org/forms/mtb/09_Categories_Classes_Championships.pdf

But the organizer can do anything they want.  Grin Grin Grin

Joining ABA will also allow you to race at the track for the next 12 months. If enough interest is there we could maybe start a MTB class, so then you could race all the time, just that it would be up to 8 on the gate. I'm sure a few more rules will come into play but a lot depends on how many are interested in doing it. Not to much fun if you only get 3-4 guys out to race.

Welcome MTBers
